You may be like me – Corgis?  Those are the short legged big eared barkers that lots of horse people have.  It is funny how breed stereotypes work.  Oh I Would Never Have One of THOSE, They bark, They shed, They don’t like children, etc.

These photos:

killed my Corgi stereotype.  Look at those ears.  That fluffy white chest.

Her brindle tiger coat!  I want to scoop her up right now!  (and I’m kinda standoffish with strange animals)

Her person says:

She is a Cardigan Welsh Corgi.    She shares our house with Harrison our 7-year old orange tabby cat.

Darby is totally obsessed with retrieving tennis balls and will run after them day and night.  She is shy at first around dogs she hasn’t met, but warms up quickly.   We think she is very smart and very good looking, too!  She has many nicknames, but my favorite is “Short Stuff.”

The leg-shortness seems directly in proportion to the cuteness.

and the drive?

major drive.

We heart drive.

Shhh! Don’t tell anyone how cool Cardi’s are! We Cardi owners don’t want them to get too popular! (smile)

Thanks for featuring my girl!

I have a Corgi in my life. She’s my “other doggy” even though she lives next door to me. I have to see her everyday or she gets very upset. What a dog!!

I love the illustration of major drive. Deep into the dusk, she will bring back that ball and hope for one more toss.
