As you can see, Hazel is recovering nicely from her eye surgeries. She still requires eye ointment a few times a day and her activity level is very restricted.
It’s not easy to keep one dog safe & still while the other dog bounces and runs and plays, especially when the bouncy other dog is the one that caused the need for surgical intervention in the first place.
That’s where the Retribution Spay comes in really handy.
Sure, it’s a concept that can be seen as just a little bit old-fashioned, but we’re into that kind of thing around here.
And. . .
it worked.*
*It worked to slow the bull, to perhaps prevent pet overpopulation, condense 2 recovery periods into one time frame and it does seem to ‘even the playing field’ a bit between the canines. The Retribution Spay did not, however, magically restore Hazel’s eyesight, nor did it decrease our veterinary expenditures for the month.

*Note to self: When someone hurts you, rip out their uterus*
glad to hear the girls are recovering nicely…
perfect eyesight is over-rated, by the way!
and the spay? we knew that was coming.
Dana’s comment cracked me up.
Love this post. Sorry about the eye thing, but the uterus? Good riddance.
