Meet Barney.

Barney will be 4 January 24 and I got him from a lab rescue in Kentucky. He came home with me when he was 9 weeks old. He would just as soon get scratched behind his ears as fetch a ball and he and Tal (my 5 y/o full blood lab) are best buds! They both love playing in the tall grass behind the baseball field at the college where I teach and it would be a toss up as to who has who trained! They are a true blessing and I am so very fortunate to have them both! When Barney does run, though,  believe me he is really fast! My favorite thing is when he comes up to me and puts his paws on my knees when I am sitting down and lets me scratch him behind the ears. Definitely a goofball! Just like the rest of us here!

Meet Bella.

Bella is 6 lbs of mini dacshund.

Dislikes:   the doorbell, cause my mamma always yells “NO BARKING!”

This is Luca.

He’s a funny little dog with some obsessive-compulsive tendencies- it’s not unusual for him to spend ten minutes finding the perfect spot to hide his bone and another ten making sure the placement is just so.  He loves to wrestle with his cats and his “cousin” harvey, and recently spent five minutes play bowing to a skunk he had cornered WITHOUT GETTING SPRAYED.

He answers to Luca, Yuka Face Stink-a-Poo, Rukie, Puka, Stink Face,  piglet… actually, he comes running no matter what you call him, but he’s still a stubborn little bulldog… when we say he’s “all ears” it doesn’t mean he’s actually listening.

Hi I’m Domino, I am 2 years old.

My masters rescued me when I was about 3 month old. I am American bull dog mixed with a great Dane.

I’m a mutt but my masters don’t think so. I love toys so very much & I’m the captain of squirrel patrol. If the word ‘squirrel is said’ I lose all track & run to windows & doors to find it.

I love outdoors ,walks on the beach, going bye bye &  rolling around in the grass. When my momma master says Daddy’s home I greet him at the door with kisses & butt wiggles. When little master gets home I do the same but I pounce him like a cat & he likes it. I love my Masters they take good care of me, buy me treasures like my Fetching Tags so I don’t get lost , Plus who doesn’t like some bling around the collar?!

Meet Missy.

Missy was rescued 10 years ago from a Sheltie rescue in Southern California and has been with me ever since. She is still active in Agility at the ripe age of 11 years and she is just a puppy at heart. Missy does therapy work on the side of her agility trials and enjoys long naps in between.

People always get a kick out of her tag whenever they see her, because it really fits her personality…. in charge of the boys and a bit of a priss.

Meet Grimm.

Grimm is a Generic Brown Dog, if there ever was one. He’s exceptionally cute and looks like he walked off a Gund shelf or Jim Henson’s workbench. (assuming he had one )

Goose is a wonderful little Chow girl.    She is the smooth coated variety, which is apparently just unheard of in this area.   It was tiring having everyone ask if. . . or just state that she is a Shar-pei.

Meet Enzo.

Enzo is a 3 year old chocolate Labradork. She loves life, as all Labradors do, and goes about each and every day with such enthusiasm that it never fails to make me smile. Work five days a week? Absolutely!! She gets up every day whether it’s five in the morning or noon, ready to take on whatever life throws at her.

We always thought that she’d settle down a bit when she hit two and a half to three, start calming down, stop making wookie noises at old ladys in Petsmart, the googoo eyes at little boys with sticky fingers, and quit dancing so violently when someone comes over to say “Hi”.

So far though, she hasn’t recieved her brain in the mail, and I’m considering writing the manufacturer, because it doesn’t seem like she’ll EVER calm herself down. She goes to work with me four to five days a week, 5 to 7 hours at a time, and will still come home and run laps around the yard.

She is my shadow, and it’s hard to get far enough away from her to take a good picture, unless, of course, she decides another lap around the yard would be fun. We actually named her Enzo, after Enzo Ferrari, because of the dirt track she put in around our yard. Perfect twists and turns, and straightaways for her to put on the afterburners and leave the other three dogs in the dust. She perpetually wears a crazy wild eyed look on her face that also makes getting family Christmas pictures a bit of a problem.
